KEZAD Partnership and Investment
KEZAD (Khalifa Economic Industrial Zones Abu Dhabi), a leading developer of economic zones in Abu Dhabi, has partnered with Green Metal Industries to build a modern special steel recycling and production facility in KEZAD, with a US$100 million investment. The facility will feature advanced recycling technologies like a melt shop, refining facilities (AOD/VOD/VD), continuous casting, and a rolling mill to convert metal scrap into high-quality products for various industrial uses, especially in construction and infrastructure projects. Situated in the 116,000 square meter KEZAD Industrial Area, the plant will mainly use locally sourced raw materials, boosting Abu Dhabi’s economy and becoming a center for sustainable development and innovation in the GCC construction industry. Construction is underway, aiming for commercial production by the first quarter of 2025, which is expected to generate job opportunities, spur economic growth, and foster innovation in the region. Moreover, by employing advanced recycling techniques, the plant will significantly reduce carbon emissions, making a positive impact on both the local community and global sustainability efforts.
